Dave Gibbons is regarded as one of the UK’s best comic artists, most widely known for his collaboration with Allan Moore in creating Watchmen, one of the best-selling graphic novels of all time. His work with comic publishers offers an impressive roll-call including 2000AD, DC Comics, Marvel and Dark Horse Comics, drawing infamous sci-fi characters including Judge Dredd, Dan Dare and Martha Washington, alongside the comic superhero staples of Batman, Green Lantern and Superman.

In 2014 Dave Gibbons was named as the UK’s first Comics Laureate, campaigning to improve child literacy through comics and graphic novels.

Paul Gravett is a London-based freelance journalist, curator, lecturer, writer and broadcaster, who has worked in comics publishing and promotion since 1981. Since 2003, Paul has been the director of Comica, the London International Comics Festival
