Following two sell-out successful years, Glasgow Comic Con returns for 2013, teaming up with a new venue partner , CCA: Glasgow. Event Producers, Sha Nazir and John Farman announced the dates and new venue on Feb 1 2013, John Farman said “It’s going to be exciting, its a brand new venue with an already established high quality arts pedigree, we look forward to bringing a new audience to the venue”. Sha Nazir stated “the breadth of creators now attending our event has grown each year establishing it as Scotland’s leading comic book festival”, “GCC13 is the gateway to GCC 2014, bringing even more creators from across the Commonwealth to our city.” Glasgow Comic Con, focuses on developing and enhancing readers experience with the event, it is about the creators of comic books and this is reflected in the guests already announced.

Artists, writers and comic creators confirmed for the event are; Alan Davis (Captain Britain, Miricleman, D.R & Quinch, Wolverine), Carlos Ezqurra (Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, ABC Warriors), Alan Grant (Batman, Lobo, 2000AD), John Higgins (Watchmen, The Killing Joke, Judge Dredd, Doctor Who), Cam Kennedy (Artist Star Wars : Dark Empire, Lobo, Batman, Commando), Barry Kitson (Fantastic Four, The Hulk, Spiderman), Mike Ploog (Ghost Rider creator, Superman II & Ghostbusters movies ), John Wagner (Writer Dredd, Strontium Dog, A history of Violence), Rufus Dayglo (Tank Girl) plus Hannah Berry, Peter Doherty, Gary Erskine, Ferg Handley, Yishan Li, George Low, Colin MacNeil, Lorna Miller, Robbie Morrison, Monty Nero, Tanya Roberts and more to be announced.
