After the success of the returning Birmingham based comic con, ICE has announced that it will return on the 5th September 2015 bigger and better than ever.

The inaugural event drew one of the largest guests of the convention calendar in Steve Rude, who turned out every bit of the legend that preceded him.  It was a well-organised convention in excellent surroundings with a very laid back feel to it.  There was very much a small convention feel to the event, which given the location and population of the second city was surprising and visitors seemed down on what could have been.  This made for a great event for those visiting the guests after signatures and sketches, but some exhibitors felt it was a bit quiet and sales were low.  The organiser, Shane Chebsey, has vowed to improve the numbers through the door for next year as well as bringing more international guests over.

This year’s event felt like a teaser, given the organisation behind the event, we are quite confident that numbers for next year can be well and truly beaten and look forward to a proper comic convention in Birmingham for a second year running.
