Prepare for a trip to the Dark Side, as Sci Fi Scarborough announced the appearance of Dave Prowse at SFS 2015.
As Darth Vader, Dave has played one of THE most iconic villains in movie history and is instantly recognisable the world over.
It is a major coup for SFS to attract such a marquee name for only their second event but the team are building day by day to provide a truly out of this world line up for the 2015 show.
Dave joins the Star Wars unmasked panel on Star Wars Saturday alongside well known characters as Greedo (Paul Blake) Logray (Mike Edmonds) Oola (Femi Taylor) Andrew Lawden (The Phantom Menace) and Leesub Sirln (Pam Rose) with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Event co-organiser Steve Dickinson said:
‘If I was even to begin to imagine that the 7 year old boy that saw Star Wars when it first came out could be involved in bringing these characters that I grew up loving to my home town, I wouldn’t have believed you. The fact that Darth Vader is more than happy to come to our beautiful seaside town for the whole weekend shows that we are on the right track for next year.’
‘2015 is the Thunderbirds 50th anniversary, so keep your eyes peeled for something very very special that we be announcing in the New Year’
The roster of guest stars keeps on growing away from that galaxy far far away with the confirmation of Shane Rimmer (Scott Tracy/Bond) and Richard James (Officer Orrin/Space Precinct) and Virginia Hey (Farscape/Bond)
There also promises to be more major comic book artists and writers announced in the coming weeks and the promise of ‘Space Opera Sunday’ with a panel of yet to be announced guest stars.
Earlybird tickets are available from The Spa Complex in person with no booking fees or from www.scarboroughspa.co.uk till New Year’s Day.
