Pam Rose will be heading to Sci-Fi Scarborough this coming April, the popular Star Wars & Space 1999 star will be attending the whole weekend.

Pam began modelling at the young age of 18 and went on to become an air hostess and then a manager in casinos which took her all over the world.

It was while she was working in a casino in Brighton in 1968 that she was offered her first film role in Oh! What a Lovely War doing crowd scenes, standing in and doubling for actors. She then joined a casting agency, Central Casting, which started her on the road to a busy film and TV career spanning over forty years.

Pam was given a call to audition at Elstree Studios for Star Wars in 1976, and was given the part of the character of Weird Girl in the cantina scene, now known as Leesub Sirln.

Having previously appeared in Space 1999, Pam went on to be in Superman, Batman, X-Men & Kick Ass 2.

It was after Pam had retired from full time work in 2005 that she was made aware of the Star Wars fandom. She was surprised to receive fan-mail but then realised that her photos and autographs are collectable. Over the last few years Pam has attended many Star Wars conventions where she has enjoyed meeting both fans and old friends from the film industry.

Co-organiser Steve Dickinson “It’s so good to have Pam join us again, such a lovely lady and a real hit with the fans and a wonderful convention favourite.”
